I got my first camera when I was 8. Fisher Price, classic 90s. I've been taking photographs ever since.

I started off photographing abroad for nonprofits & NGOs (non-governmental organizations) in Uganda after college and then moved to Colombia. I earned a Masters in the UK from the London School of Economics, worked in Freetown, Sierra Leone, taught in Madrid, Spain and have spent time with Project Cordillera in the mountains of northern Peru.

Living back in Florida, I work for national news outlets (like The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Atlantic). You can explore my editorial work at www.charlottekesl.com.

I absolutely love documentary photography and can’t wait to capture your real life & real love.
